През 2006 г., списанието старира ежегоден конкурс за концептуални проекти на тема „Небостъргач“. Той се формира като една от най-престижните
награди в света, за високи сгради. Целта е
да се стимулират изключителни идеи, които предефинират дизайна на небостъргача чрез прилагането на нови технологии, материали,
програми, естетика и пространствени организации заедно с проучванията на
глобализацията, адаптивността и дигиталната революция. Това е
форум, който разглежда връзката между небостъргачите и естествения свят,
небостъргачите и социалната
общност, както и
небостъргачите и града.
В няколко
публикации ще видим само малък набор от иновативните и оригинални идеи на
автори по цял свят, представени в изданието за 2011г.

Авторите на
концепцията Luca
D’Amico и Luca Tesio от Италия,
са вдъхновени от идеята как глобализацията трансформира значителна част от обитателите на
градовете в модерни номади - хора, които през няколко месеца или
години сменят
своето местообитание в различни градове по целия свят.
Небостъргачът от контейнери е идея за
осигуряване на жилища за тези „номади“, тъй като те са препознати като специфичен тип градски
жител.
Конструкцията се състои от един екзоскелет, където обикновенни корабни контейнери за транспортиране, са превърнати в
апартаменти от тип „plug-in”. Структурите ще се състои от гъста мрежа от
стоманени греди. На всеки 30 метра ще има платформи, които ще закоравяват цялата конструкция, като същевременно могат да бъдат решени
като едни общи зони за отдих и социални дейности. Основната
структура на
сградата предоставя базисната инфраструктура, както и зони за отдих, докато обитаемите единици могат да
бъдат транспортирани с кораб, камион или влак до
почти всички големи градове по целия свят. Така чувството за дом ще е винаги с тези модерни
градски номади.

During 2006 the magazine started annual
competition for conceptual designs on theme “Skyscraper”. It is formed as one
of the most prestigious awards in the world - for high buildings. The purpose
is to stimulate unusual ideas, which re-define the design of skyscraper by
applying of new technologies, materials, programs, aesthetics and spatial
organizations together with the researches of the globalization, adaptation and
digital revolution. It is a forum, which treats the connection between the
skyscrapers and the natural world, the skyscrapers and the social community, as
well as the skyscrapers and the city.
In a few publications we will see only part of
the innovative and original ideas of authors all over the world, presented in
the issue /publication/ for 2011.
Nomad Skyscraper – skyscraper for and from
nomads
The authors of the concept Luca D’Amico and
Luca Tesio from Italy are inspired from the idea how the globalization
transforms large part of the residents in the cities into modern nomads – people,
which during a several months or years change their place of habitation in
different cities all over the world.
The skyscraper of containers is idea for
providing homes for these “nomads”, as they are recognized as specific type
townspeople. The structure consists of one exoskeleton, where ship containers
for transportation are turn into apartments of type “plug-in”. The structure
will include a dense grid of steel beams. At each 30 m there will be platforms,
which will harden the entire structure as at the same time it can be executed
as general areas for recreation and social activities. The main structure of
the building presents the basic infrastructure, as well as areas for recreation,
while the inhabitable units can be transported with ship, truck or train to
almost big cities all over the world. So the sensation for home will be always
with these modern city nomads.
